Collaboration

Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing with another French Language Arts class is a great way for students to connect with other French Immersion students from different parts of the world.

This is not only a great way for students to practice their conversation skills, it provides them and opportunity to learn about other cultures in an authentic manner.

Use videoconferencing to take your class on a virtual field trip.

Connecting your French students with other French students is a great way to demonstrate why learning other languages is so great. It is a way for us to communicate with more people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Setting your students up with

e-pals is a great way for students to practise their written production, learn good communication skills, explore other cultures and establish relationships with other students.

Corresponding with e-pals can be something that students do all year long. A great time to introduce this to the class is during a Letter Writing unit.
