Technology in the French Language Arts Classroom

Create authentic and meaningful language experiences by integrating technology into the French Language Arts classroom

This site was created to support French Language teachers that are looking for ways to integrate technology into the classroom. Each of these tools supports at least one of the four General Learning Outcomes of the Alberta French Language Arts Program of Studies : Written Comprehension, Written Production, Oral Comprehension, Oral Production.

How can technology enhance language learning?

"Technology can provide audio-video materials that can be paused, repeated, played more slowly or quickly. Technology can also record and analyse a learners' own speech, and can provide various types of scaffolding for students learning to read."
